74 Websites to Visit to Immerse Yourself in English
I’ve seen English language learners (ELLs) ask native English speakers about their favorite websites on multiple occasions.
Even though many people know and like dozens of websites, one surefire* way for a person to immediately forget what 90% of those websites are is to be asked about them.
I put together the following list to help those of you who may be trying to incorporate more English-language websites into your daily lives.
Please note that these websites aren’t optimized* for ELLs.

Business, Technology, and Science
If you’re looking for the latest trends in business or the newest developments in science and technology, these websites have got you covered.
News
Although all these sites focus on food, each has its own style and character. Fit Men Cook will give you healthy, delicious eating options, and Budget Bytes will give you tips and recipes for meals that are affordable.
Meanwhile, What The F**k Should I Make for Dinner aggressively gives its visitors recipe suggestions to answer the question that so many of us ask ourselves daily.
Different sites; different styles. Hopefully you’ll find one that you like on this list.
Sports
Here are some sports websites that aren’t ESPN. Enjoy!
Entertainment
In this section, you’ll find music news sites, sites to help you find new artists and movies in English based on your current favorites, and sites that help you both discover random new content and enjoy content you may already be familiar with in a different way (in the case of My 90’s TV).
Fashion and Beauty
This section is pretty self explanatory. If you’re into style and beauty, here are some websites you may like. Lab Muffin is pretty unique. This blog looks at beauty products from a scientific standpoint!
Games and Quizzes
Sporcle - this is a website with thousands of user-made quizzes. Take them with a grain of salt *. Some quizzes may not be 100% accurate because they are made by the public, but there are a lot of fun ones that are also of good quality.

Pogo - this site has a lot of online games that are fun, but that can also help you learn new vocabulary words and improve your spelling.

Variety
These are the dangerous websites; you’ll visit one of them and accidentally stay there for 3 hours.
Most of these sites cover a variety of different topics. You’ll find investigative stories, news reports, lighthearted* quizzes, helpful guides, makeup tips, and who knows what else on the websites in this section.
These were the sites that didn’t completely fit into any of the other categories, so I gave them a category of their own.
Satire*
Please make sure to check out the definition of “satire” below.
Many of the articles you will find on these sites are written as if they were serious, but most of them are exaggerated or totally fake pieces that are written to make people laugh and/or to criticize a person, situation, idea, etc.
Useful Websites
These are the sites that will teach you something.
These websites can teach you everything from general skills that can help you in everyday life, like how to make a professional document in Microsoft Word, to extremely specific skills that will probably never help you, like how to rap like Eminem.
Money and Investing
Finally, if you’re into investing or always looking for new ways to make your money work for you, here are some sites that you may find helpful.
